It’s a well-known fact that everybody loves dinosaurs. The giant reptiles have fascinated people ever since the first fossils were unearthed a couple of centuries ago. Therefore, it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that there have been countless movies about dinosaurs over the years, some better than others. What is surprising, however, is that some of these dinosaur movies are available for free on YouTube and can also be downloaded for free with the right tool. But more on that a bit later. For now, let’s take a look at the best dinosaur movies on YouTube.
We’re kicking things off with the sequel to the 2005 version of King Kong, which features a brand new roster of actors including Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, and Samuel L. Jackson. Despite focusing primarily on the titular King Kong, there are plenty of giant reptiles as well, making this one of the best dinosaur movies on YouTube from 2017.
Since you’ve probably seen the first few movies by now, make sure you don’t miss out on the latest entry in the Ice Age series. Collision Course came out back in 2016 and is a lot more over-the-top compared to its predecessors. Still worth checking out on YouTube, though.
If you plan on binge-watching dinosaur movies on YouTube Jurassic World should be at the top of your list. The movie is a spiritual successor of sorts to the Jurassic Park movies but with modern special effects and Chris Pratt as the main protagonist.
The most recent entry on our list and the only worthwhile dinosaur movie on YouTube from 2018 so far. Fallen Kingdom picks up where the original left off, more or less. This time around Chris Pratt’s Owen Grady must save the island’s dinosaurs before a volcano wipes them all out.
There are a few dozen Godzilla movies but most of them are either very old or not very good. The reason why the 2014 version of Godzilla is one of the best dinosaur movies on YouTube is because it does justice to the King of Monsters and depicts him in a suitably terrifying way.
This one is a classic and arguably the best dinosaur cartoon movie on YouTube. It’s a bit old at this point but the animation quality holds up well and the story is as emotional as ever. Primarily intended for kids but enjoyable to adults as well.
If you’re looking for other dinosaur movies for kids on YouTube, this 2015 animated film is also a very good pick. The Good Dinosaur is pure comedy and takes place in a world where humans and dinosaurs live side-by-side. It’s a bit like The Flintstones but for modern audiences.
We’re cheating just a little bit here because Rampage doesn’t technically feature dinosaurs. However, it does feature several huge monsters, including a giant crocodile-like reptile that might as well be a dinosaur if we’re being honest. Not a whole lot of other decent dinosaur movies in 2018 besides Fallen Kingdom but Rampage is the next best thing.
The most beloved dinosaur movie on YouTube or anywhere else for that matter needs very little introduction. This movie won three Oscars and is considered an all-time classic so make sure to check it out on the off chance you haven’t already seen it a dozen times.
The Lost World is a direct sequel to the original Jurassic Park and takes place on a new island inhibited by new dinosaurs. The sequel is generally considered a bit inferior to the original but it’s still better than most other dinosaur movies that came out since then.
Some of the movies on this list can be rented or bought on YouTube but there are a few that you can watch and even download for free. To do this you’ll need DVDFab YouTube Video Downloader, a free piece of YouTube Downloader software that allows you to download videos in no time. Here’s how it works:
1. Start by opening DVDFab and then go to the Utilities tab where you can find a tool known as YouTube Video Downloader.
2. Open the tool and type in the name of a movie in the search bar.
3. After you’ve selected a video from the list go ahead and click the blue Download button found in the top left corner. Some movies are available in better quality than others so pick the option that you think is best. Change the destination folder from the lower left corner of the menu if you’re not happy with the default one.
4. Go to the Download tab if you want to check on the progress of the movie. Here you can also pause or cancel the download if you change your mind.
